Kingston to Picton

I had to use the WIFI at the office to get the posting done as the phone service sure sucks for speed.    So today trying the purchased plan of 5 dallars a day to get high speed service which seems a lot better but we will see when it comes time to post stuff.

After dinner last night went for a walk in the inner harbor of Kingston.  The first thing we noticed was fairly well developed homeless camp about 5 tents in tight circle with a fire ring in the center and some shopping carts spread around the area.  Next was a gigantic flock of greets that required extra care where you put your feet.  Finally there was large half mile wall that encouraged street painting that fully covered.

Then off to bed.

I got a response from Ranger Tug on how to fix the stern truster it is “not a fun job”.  Turn out we were on the right track for sure just have to be more persistent in our attack of the bolts.

Off to an early start this morning and finished the trip in good time arriving at the tie up at 12:45.  docking was a little tough due to wind but I eventually made it in so all is good.

Really eerily quite today so list of stuff seen is odd collection of stuff:

  • 1 cruising boat,  The one we saw crossing Lake Ontario
  • 3 sailboats all with their sails down.
  • 1 floating stick that I had to dodge
  • Some limestone cliffs and cement plant with Limestone mining on going
  • 1 laker ship
  • 2 ferries
  • 3 comments on a “cute boat” total now 25
  • 30 confirmed misquotes killed by hand (uncountable with raid)
  • 3 vacuum cleaning of dead bugs due to raid
  • 2 swans
  • 3 flocks of swallows (or one flock that kept returning but they kept having more birds in each pass)
Just a small fraction of the geese
