May 7 and 8th
Rainy day on Sunday. So we woke up late and had a coffee cake for breakfast. Then did a Parkinson’s support group meeting on Zoom. It was Chair yoga and was great. We then took off on a short walk to the Liberty State Science center. That was interesting as it full of kid and parents. The best part was the Planetarium where we had tour of the Universe. But it also included a brief Overview of our night sky and solar system.
Rained all last night and part of this this morning but we were a determined couple and still managed to book a Bus tour of New York. The tour took through new seeing all the big sites, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon’s studios NBC new sites, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefellow’s center, the 9-11 center plus a lot of other places. Dianne enjoyed it.
The guide was a New Yorker who was load and spoke quickly and with New York accent. One of the tourist objected to this and he lost his temper and threw them off the tour. I think both parties are to blame as they both could have de-escalated it, but it appeared to me they fed off each other. He told them not to get on the bus and left them at Central Park. Kind of quieted the group a little bit but they picked up later.
