St. Joseph to New Buffalo MI. 25miles
Good day to drink coffee while driving the boat gently rolling waves. Therefore no raving engines and no fuel changing rates. I even checked the bilge and there was no oil in it either so it a good day.
Not a lot to report saw one nuclear power plant way over on shore and tried my best for a picture and it was not a great on but see what you all think.
New Buffalo is odd harbor lots of condos built right on the docks so it shallow and long. it does not help that the maps lableled the destination incorrectly so it took a little bit of looking around to finally find it. Then coming into the harbor I messed up and wind took the boat off the dock. I forgot rule 1 “don’t panic” and boat got sideways on me. I had jump out and run the rail to the front with the rope and hop off to straighten it out. No damage and no bumping but it go to show how fast stuff can go wrong.
We then did some shopping for the last part of the trip this solved the crisis on the boat discussed yesterday. Going to cook ribs for dinner tonight, I will cook them outside as it hot inside even with AC on trying to run both units and I think the boat unit is nothing more than a good fan.
Woke up this morning with a new small craft advisory in effect for all day tomorrow Sigh will lose another day. Not a lot to do about can not play in 30 mph gusts.
