Aug. 1

No move, no milage, no Diesel usage, no oil check or slicks.

Yep it was that kind of day windy and big waves.

Spend most of the morning trying to figure out how to get though Chicago.  Very little luck, not a lot of marina’s and most of them are just not taking any boats.  After 4 hours of work and thinking about it more I have tried one of the marina just outside of Chicago Rive which could be both inconvenient, and expensive.  If that does not work we will have to bypass Chicago, might drive up look around and then leave and not get off the boat.

After that went out and for a walk and waves were at least 5 feet high and really rough.  That did not stop the kite boarders they loved the 15-25 mile per hour winds.  Some were jumping and flying 15-20 feet up.

Then did a bike ride using the marina’s loaner bikes.  Not as nice as our bikes but free and easy to get out.  We did this yesterday after dinner too.  That means Dianne had Ice cream yesterday some how today she resisted the urge for ice cream.

We are having a crisis on the boat.  We have eaten all our Twistlers, there is no wafer cookies left, a very few Oreo cookies (not the good ones either and no more Rye Whiskey (read Canadian Whiskey if you never lived in Canada).  Now I suspect this is a plot to make me lose weight so I guess I will have to just bear with it.  But we did not see a store for junk food on either ride so we will wait it out.

As no travel day a pancake breakfast this morning.  Curry for dinner.

Weather looks good for tomorrow, a little iffy for Wed. though Hope I do not lose another day as I have the marina’s and the car rental all worked out.

No pictures today sorry.

Here is one of John and Gail's visit with the inside of the boat.
