Sarasota to Cayo Costa State Park 50 miles 5.5 mile per gallon

Last night’s dinner in the marina was Ok not great the Martini on special was not what I expected it was OK just too sweet. and more like Ice tea.  The food also was OK but a like it prepared for them rather than prepared on site.  Given the fact that tons of people arrived dressed to the nines and there was live entertainment I would have expected better.  The good news was the cost was not inline with how well the people were dressed.

We then looked around the site and checked the prices on the boats for sale.   The cheapest of the 3 100 foot boats there was 3,500,000 while the most expensive was 4,895,500.   Not sure how they came to price these things as the it seams a little like 4.99 to me.

They had some interesting statures and fountains around the site.  See pictures.

They also had yoga in the park at sunset close to the beach.  Also so saw a dinner cruise leave on a barge with mermaids and palm trees on top.

Started moving early so we would finish early.  Expected to see a lot of damage.  There was some on boat storage marina was mess a lot of down trees and debris in the water but not a bad as I expected. It is clear where the hurricane hit as all the trees are stripped of leaves from about 10 ft up.

On pontoon boat in front of us was watching dolphin and had to beep at him to watch our for us.  Given the storm passing I did not want to leave the channel to miss him.

Tonight we are anchored out a storm is coming in but aside from spinning it is not too bad.  The anchor winch is acting up a little bit.  After dinner I tried to fix it but could not get it apart and give up just sprayed a some rust off oil into and hope. it makes the trip.  If Push comes to shove I can always use the manual pull for it so I am not too worried.
