Tarpon Springs to St. Petersburg FL 40.9 miles

Up early again this morning and moving on the boat before 7;30. Sunrise is currently about 7:40 so we had breakfast and left with full light which is nice,

Not as many boats this morning as yesterday morning but still more than I really want to see.  They rock us as they pass and as the channel is narrow all the way out from the harbor they sometime throw us out of the channel and I have to fight my way back in against the wind and current.

The ride was rough at the start as the there is a wide bay outside of the Tarpon Harbor but then we entered the Inter-coastal waterway on the west coast of Florida which provide protection from the ocean.

Saw two police boats one yelled at either me or the boat behind me to slow down.  I do not see how I could much slower than 5 knots which is what I was doing and maintain steerage but who am I to judge.

Arrived at the marina at 2 and docked, fueled and did a little oil addition to Transmission as well as checked levels all tanks.  Plotted route to Sarasota.  Then did a quick shopping trip for fresh vegetables and some meat for dinner.  Took a long walk on the beach and just relaxed the rest of the afternoon away.

Saw our first sunk boat from Ian today a 30-35 ft sailboat.  Looks like it could be savaged but no one was out working on her.  But also no one had stopped her yet either.

I guess I am in a bit of city shock today with all the apartments and resorts around us and that we passed through today.  Not the wild part of Florida we have been seeing further north.

Now Dianne wants to go for a walk to get pictures of Sunset on the beach.
